Customization Options

You can choose 1 OR 2 OR 3. You can provide specific requests for design, or trust us to develop a creative concept tailored to your book’s aesthetic. All designs will be mocked up and approved before proceeding.

1. Cover Design: For a design fee, we will design the cover of your dreams!

2. Sprayed or Stenciled Edges: Custom designs can be added to the book edges to match your branding or book theme.

3. Full Custom Rebinding: We can create a completely unique edition, turning your book into a true collector’s item. This means a new cover and sprayed edges.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

We are not a publisher. We specialize in REBINDING books with brand new covers. This means we will need time to purchase and receive the books from either the author, or the author’s publisher.

Pricing & Royalties

All fees will be discussed and approved with a signed contract.

Design Fee: $200 flat rate for the custom design process. This does not include the cost of books or shipping, which may not be required depending on the arrangement. This fee is refundable if we do not reach an agreement on the design.

Royalties: Up to 15% depending on several factors. In order to determine the royalties you will earn we need to know the following:

1. Will Inkwell & Ivy be able to sell your books at the event or on our website for pre-order?

2. Who is your publisher?

3. Will you be providing the books for us to rebind/spray, or will we be purchasing from your publisher?

Other Fees: If you choose to have the books shipped to you prior to the event, or to the event, shipping costs will be incurred.

Inkwell & Ivy has the right to update these fees up to date of contract signing.

Book Supply Options

We aim to make the process as seamless as possible. Here are your options:

• Inkwell & Ivy Handles Everything: We can purchase the books, manage rebinding, and sell them through our pre-order system or at the event.

• You Supply the Books: If you prefer, you can send us your books for rebinding.

• Signing and Delivery: Books can be delivered to you ahead of the event for signing, or can be shipped to the event. Shipping Pre-orders can be handled through our website for customer pickup at the event.

Timeline & Deadlines

• Interest Forms Due: November 7th

• Contracts Signed: November 15th

• Design Approval & Payment: December 1st

This timeline ensures all books will be completed and ready for the event. Late approvals or payments may delay production.

Contracts & Licensing

We will need contracts with each author to cover licensing rights specific to this event or any intellectual property. If necessary, agreements with your publisher will also be arranged. This helps ensure the custom editions are protected and can be sold at the event without issues. If you have legal counsel and prefer that they write the licensing agreements, this is acceptable.

Event Pickup & Sales

At the event, we will have a booth where customers can pick up their pre-ordered Limited Special Editions. If you prefer, you can have the books at your own table for signing and direct sales.

Refund Policy

We guarantee that all designs will be mocked up for your approval prior to signing any contracts. If we are unable to agree on a design, the $200 design fee will be fully refunded. Once contracts are signed, refunds will not be available do the complexity of our handmade designed and materials needed.
